Video

YP jiejie said to me,
"You've been playing NONSTOP for more than a week! Need to recharge! PAUSE then PLAY."

I thought it sounded very much like a video, and so I asked about the other functions of a video. And this was what she came up with.

Record = Write blog
Rewind = Read blog
Fast Forward = Plan where to play.

I thought it rather appropriate. =)

Yeah, time to recharge battery.

Pig-out at Taka Crystal Jade and Marche's

After spending time in Little India, where the Indian food reigns, Giz, Geordie and myself proceeded to Tang's (in front of Mac's makeup) to meet the company. Honestly, I din know that Mac's was a brand of makeup! I was wondering if I had read wrongly about MacDonald's or something! Hee. When I first saw Shutch, I went "there is no dustbin here", cos i did threaten to carry her off to a bin when she was suan-ing me in the morning when she was high on her coffee. Heh. But she gave me Vitamin-C sweet (grapefruit flavour) to continue suan-ing me... but I tell ya, it's one of the best sweets I've tasted! And one of the rare sweets which I will achery consider buying! Thanks Shutch! (Though Giz still thinks they are cough droplets! Heh. But then again, she thought axe oil was chewing gum!! Hahaha! Ultimate...

We walked to the shop where Shutch bought lip balm/gloss. Hmmm... a place which I wouldn't even think of entering myself! Heh. And then walked one round at the basement of Far East Plaza, then to Duty free. The puppet ducks there are really cute sia! Their beaks go quack when u squeeze them and there's an Old MacDonald's tune to it! Heh. And Giz went squeezing all the mouths of the monkeys which screamed/shrieked! Hahaha! That was funny! =) Then we proceeded to Taka where Art Friend is. Oh my... the true colours of the company was appalling! They wanted to superglue me and bluff me that UHU glue was lip balm. Not only that, they looked for tape so as to tape me up when i am in NY and stuff. Why?!! Hmmm. Anyway, we entertained ourselves with stuff toys...

I seriously think Shutch is photogenic. What say you all?!!

We went to Crystal Jade for dinner. Giz ordered cold noodles... hmm, something which we wouldn't order in a Chinese restaurant, but it was not bad though. Papa Ken din like it though. Heh.

Xiao long baos and vegetable dumplings (YUMMY!!!)

Then to the toilet cos I really needed to pee (before Papa Ken presses the bladder!). And guess what we did in the toilet?

Interesting huh? Hahaha! Toilets are good fun. Wish there were bubbles and water splashing though!

Oh, then to dessert. Swensen's was crowded so Pengy jiejie and Papa Ken went to check out NYDC at HMV. It was faster, so we decided to rush over there instead, under the torrential rain. At least G&G managed to experience the rain before they left! Heh. But cos NYDC is open-air, they were forced to shut down certain areas, so we decided to go to Marche's instead. It's amazing how God works, cos G&G have already tried Swensen's and NYDC... not Marche's. And they did love it. Hee. And I got to eat my banana waffle too! Heh. *satisfied grin* I will choose it over guilin gao, yes. =)

And our Shutch's doing... Hee. Not only do we need to bubble-wrap her up, we need to give her a bib, and fork and spoon. Heh.

We entertained ourselves again by playing with coins... soccer to spinning them with one hand to balancing them. And when Giz tried to balance the salt shaker on salt and I kept blowing the salt away... they ganged up on me! Why?!! Cos Giz is nicer? Heh she is actually. =)
Here's the struggle. I never felt weak amongst my Singaporean counterparts before, but with Geordie and Giz, I really feel weak. Heh. But I din give up the struggle! All the way!! =)

And this is YP in Marche's. Heh.

It was a wonderful time all in all. Next time must take more pics of Papa Ken. The auntie at Crystal Jade said he "shuai" leh! She must have been long-sighted. =) Anyway, thank you company, from the bottom of my heart, for entertaining my friends. They really like you all and I cannot express how glad I am that it all worked out so well. Heh. You all really made their stay here more pleasant, though they had to put up with me lah! Hehe. And seeing you all and playing and just hanging out perks me up. =)

GEK!

Wanna know what happened?

I spent the ENTIRE morning working on the video and did ALOT of work! And what should happen was that iMovie decided that it would be fun to just shut down by itself without warning, and dumping ALL my work into the dumpsters, never to be found again. How do I react to that?!! Especially when I deprived myself of so much sleep just to work on it! ARGH!!!!!!!!!

I dunno whether to laugh, cry or get angry. Mebbe it's a good thing. Then I won't react cos I cun decide. "Anything".

well, here's princess pengy (& twin) in her pinky room

"Hello", said my twin.

"Look at my new pink room! It's pink anyway, if you can't see clearly."

Lunch at my place and dinner at ECP

With Princess Pengy, the day would have been absolutely puurrfect.

Anyway, this is just an account of what happened today. We (G, G and myself) planned for a cookout at my place and invited the company. Meatloaf was to be the centre of attraction cos we ALL haven't tried what meatloaf is! So we planned a meal round it. And cos I thought that it would be rather carbohydrate and protein based, I suggested a salad. And we ended up with a great fruit salad. Thanks to Giz's choice of food. Anyway, here's the picture.

Heh. It felt good that I could make Papa Ken regret something he said! Hahah! Insult my sandwiches somemore! Hee. Cheap thrill this is. =) Oh, and before I forget... Shutch slipped at my house today. Cos she was rushing to answer a phone call, from someone who had called the wrong number. So worth it hor. Yeah, worth the laugh. Hahahah! As Papa Ken says, I think we need to wrap Shutch up in bubble wrap. Just in case. At least when she falls, we can hear the bubbles popping. *grin*

Oh. And an interesting conversation we had during lunch. Pineapples and periods dun go. Topic started by the most unlikely candidate. You guess. Second issue - birds' nest are made from swallows' spit. Giz linked it to eating socks, with spit in it. How yummy. And later in the car, when I said I needed warm socks, the conversation led to spitting in the socks, and even pee in the socks. How interesting.

Then we played Uno stacko (finally!) and the spoon game. The conclusions are that Papa Ken has shaky hands and cun multi-task! And "there is somethng wrong with the sofa". Cos those sitting on the sofa seemed to be slower at the spoon game! Especially when Papa Ken had to take his 'spoon of shame' and retreat from the game! Hahaha!

When we got bored when Papa Ken kept on losing, we proceeded to East Coast Park for a frisbee session cos it's such a NICE cooling day! Luckily Papa Ken knew where there was an open field to play. And he even knew where the peeping toms (why are they called toms?) hang out at nite! Hmm... what do you make out of THAT??

Frisbee was a fun affair. It's interesting how jumping around, throwing and catching an orange plate can be so fun. Hee. Shutch demonstrated lots of ditzy poses today. =) There was running with your knees lifted high, while holding the frisbee like a tray, with both hands. There was bending your back while reaching up with both hands to catch the frisbee as it flies overhead. There was catching the frisbee ith one leg lifted up like taking a bimbotic photo. (Which we ALL tried!) I know there is one more pose, but I cun remember now!

Just trying to imitate Shutch...

At Bedok Jetty...

Pretty sand castles.... which I learnt are made using moulds. But they were quite intricate though... all the way to the rocks used to build those castles in real life.

Couldn't resist climbing the tree lah. There were nicer trees but it was too dark. See? I'm NOT the ONLY kinesthetic one! There are similarities between us 4... that's why we are not as weird! Haha!

Dinner at ECP. The food was exceptionally good today! Yummy satay... yummy chicken wings (Shutch wasted the chicken wing tips as usual! Hee)... yummy sugar cane juice (oops, I mean, bamboo juice)... from the Malay stall.

Papa Ken doing a rendition of the Chinese wu xia xiao shuo... where they drink from the big jar of wine before fighting. I wishI had taken a video!!

And there was Chinese music (by Wang Jie) played at the background instead of the English oldies they played the last time we were there... and of cos they had to be the remix versions of the songs to totally destroy them.

In any case, today was a really good day. Including the walk back to the car. First time Papa Ken parked so far and din complain! Hahah! Although Papa Ken says that I have/had a black aura on my face during lunch today (which I din notice at all!)... I was really happy to see the company. And if there was Pengy, it would have been more awesome. Thank you for playing with me and my friends! I wonder how I would survive without you all!

Ohoh, and sorry about the absent-minded me for forgetting to claim my wallet, keys and handphone from Shutch. AGAIN!

Long-kanged

I am so long-kanged. But I can't say I have enough of playing. I just don't have the energy anymore. Heh. I need some company boosting and some hugs. So if anyone is generous enough to donate some hugs, please do. =)

Was inside my cave....

I spent the entire afternoon until night yesterday hiding in my cave of reflection, reading reading reading and more reading. Followed by thinking thinking thinking getting a very scary nightmare when I dozed off for a quick nap then more reading and thinking.

Was out only in the late morning with my Mum, had lunch and shopped around in town. Found a cheaper parking place in town. Luckily for me, Paragon's carpark was full (yes, even at 1030 hrs in the morning! Which is quite ridiculuous considering their parking charges are one of the highest in town!) Thus, I quickly swerved to the neighbouring Cairnhill Carpark (thanks Shutch for refreshing my memory). Turns out that for Saturdays, the first 3 hrs was only $2.50. If I parked the same hours in Paragon, it would probably have come up to $6 - $8?

So anyway, rather embarrasing situation I was in yesterday while I was out looking for clothes, my mum probably still thinks that I am this young pre-NS son of hers and was actually picking out clothes for me (nothing sweet about it I assure you, especially when our taste differs). Only after I 'threatened' not to bring her out with me ever again did she desist....

Yeah so that's basically my day yesterday...shop, eat, read x 13, think x 97, get nightmares and think x 57, hope x 103 and trying not to hope x 101

Johor Bahru

Hmmm. No activity? seems like we were all busy during the weekend huh? What did Papa Ken do? Shutch was at a bridal shower, YP jiejie painted her house, I went to JB....

Can you believe it? I took a total of 3 hours to get from my place into JB! The jam was crazy lah... almost everyone got off and walked to the customs. Heh. Except us. But we finally made it in... and ate Teppanyaki. (Which isn't very cheap... at food court somemore!) Oh wells... Then we played dress-up. Went into shops and just tried their clothes. Fun lah... but to fight the temptation to buy is not THAT fun! Hee. Lucky for me there was a Gizmo for me... she helped me fight my temptation with "These are material things which you can't bring with you." And it helped. Or else I would have ended up with a $55 pants/skirt thingy which looked really cool, and a black skirt and blouse... which would have totally killed my budget immediately. Heh.

This is my cool pants.

This is me... thinking hard over whether I should get it. In the fitting room as my friend was fighting another temptation as to whether to get a black dress (which she did eventually).

This is us... happy that I din buy that from British India.

Yep, then we went for dinner. Cheap sia! Only $$15 for 4 people! We have to go lah.... there's herbal chicken, calamari, deer meat, sweet and sour pork ribs, etc etc. Shall we shall we?? JB is not THAT boring lah... the food is good, cheap and exciting. =)

BTW, I miss you gals... Ken(dra) too.

I wanna say thank you!

I really wanna thank my 3 shareholders who make my nie life full of fun and laughter...

I wanna thank them for making me realise that there are so many interesting places to visit in Singapore...

I wanna thank them for filling in my air-filled head with things that I am ignorant of...

I wanna thank them for sharing the joy of eating with me...

I wanna thank them for praying for me when I am feeling down..

I wanna thank them for forgetting I am a (late) 70s baby...

I wanna thank them for pampering me with car rides home...

I wanna thank them for everything...

I love my company.

Finally my own voice

Hahaha finally I don't need to pose as Ballooney Babbly Burpy Banana-eating Bababoon. Yay!!!

I need a leash for US, seriously :P

MacRitchie Tree Top Walk & Arab Street

24 November

Hey, just so that tmr those slack ones with better writing skills can help update the blog, I've loaded the photos up here. So you all can use them to write. Heh.

I am gonna try to update the blog now. Don't like having backlogs to do! Haha! But when I do finish them, I feel empty. Hmmm. Anyway, these pictures are for the treetop walk.

Group photo on suspension bridge at the canopy level. Thanks to the guy who took such a beautiful picture!

Just being ourselves. Where's the runaway baboon, named Ken(dra) who seems to know more about bababoony stuff than me?!!

This one is named Herman. Why, i dunno. Ask Giz. But it's really cool that we managed to see wildlife. What a good shou1 huo4! Heh. But I must say he looks rather eerie though.

See the marvellous thing about digicam with its timer? We can ALL be in the photo! And a nice one it turned out! I forget how many steps there were to get up there. 141? Counting the steps takes your mind away from the countless number of steps you need to climb what!

Pointing at what? I can't remember. But I do remember there was a cheng ting tree! The moss it produces goes into our cheng ting!

And another wildlife... this one was funny scary. We were just admiring the tree when suddenly I walked to the other side and looked up and there it was! Mr Monitor Lizard climbing up the tree! Whoah... what a fright! But it's cool... I like to see wildlife. Haha! Shocking as it is... it still ain't as scary as the ones we saw at Sungei Buloh which could have trapped us! Or when Shutch was the 'wildlife' to be admired when we went to Yang Tze! And apparently she enjoys it so much that she has been yearning to return! With ear muffs this time round to protect her earlobes from dirty old men! *grin*

I love this picture of the flipping monkey. Mebbe his back was itchy. heh. It'll be cool if I could keep him. =)

What else do we do to entertain ourselves? We play! Even on suspension bridge. I am NOT the only one who likes to play k... ALL 4 of us like to play. That's why we formed the company! Heh.

Yep, so that's it for the tree top walk. I have to thank you all for going on the treetop walk with me. Cos though it's so near to my place, I haven't been there. Cos I have no friends to go with. =( Yeah, and though the walk on the bridge was kinda short and the walk up there and from there was LONG! But I enjoyed it thoroughly... cos of the company.

These are the Arab street ones.

These are at Raffles Hospital Coffeebean.

Yeppies, these are the majority of the pics. Happy writing! And thanks! =) Nitey! Finally going to dreamland! Hee. Feel like I;m staying up to do lesson plan or something! Hahaha!

Thanksgiving

I am too tired to write tonite. I'm so sorry. And I have the photos, I know. Hee. Can someone please write and then I'll load up the photos accordingly? I'm gonna burn out soon. I feel like I have a part-time job sia! Go out to play in the day, come home at nite and sort photos and work on video for Giz and Geordie's trip... then write blog. Tiring... so I'm here to whine. Heh.

But in any case, I really wanna thank you all for the wonderful wonderful time today lah. Thanks for going to the treetop walk with us. Without you all, I dun think I would be so confident. And the Bugis, Arab Street, Hospital coffeebean too. The entire day was made cos of the company's presence. Not kidding at all. I feel totally happy that you are the ones whom I want my friends to meet, cos I'm totally myself when with you gals (including Kendra!). And I'm glad it's you all, cos you are a super fun bunch and it just adds to the excitement and fun of it all. And it's not only the fun factor which makes me wanna hang out with you all, it's the bond that is existent, the trust, the love, the care and concern for each and every shareholder. I continue to thank God for this company.

Oh talking about Thanksgiving... it's supposed to be Thanksgiving today! Heh. Not that we celebrate it! But the "turkey aftermath" was funny! Hahaha! Ohoh! And this photo for thanksgiving! Hahaha!

Achery hor....

Actually, I too feel the same way as shutch in that I felt bad that I wasn't being a good host. Felt uneasy initially too, especially when I found it a tad difficult to understand them due to their accents which are rather unlike the british comedy or american sitcoms/soaps that we watch so often.

And well, plus my lousy hearing inability and all, I thought it just exacerbated things a little. Did some self-check and I realised that I speak rather fast too. Now's a good time to check my speaking.

BTW, I realised that we've been enjoying ourselves so much that we probably are neglecting our own health. So just remember to drink enough water and have sufficient rest, especially when the flu season is just around the corner and we are all going overseas too.

Better not call me papa or I'll give you a real spanking...

Re: fine weather

Thank you Shutch! You wouldn't believe how happy this entry made me feel! I've been grinning ever since I saw a new entry! Hahahah!

Yeppies, I woke up this morning and immediately looked outside. When I saw the blue sky and Mr Sun, I knew that God had answered our prayers! Hee!

Nah public transport is fine. Thank you all for being so accomodating and still willing to hang out with me even though my friends are here!

K waiting for more play time! Heh. And I finished my history stuff last nite before I went to bed! Never finished stuff early before! Hahaha!

And no worries about the records of our play sessions. Been wanting to do that for a long time... luckily you scaffolded it and set up the blog for us! Makes me happy to just read the blog and look at the pictures and reminisce. Heh. I am too lor-sor. I should go jump on them and wake them up now. =)

Fine weather!!

Isn't this weird? I mean, me blogging as Banana Saviour when I don't go bananas over mermaids on stained glass (re: 'Arry Potter the movie)? :P

Well it looks like the heavens above heard our prayers and have given us fine weather today!!

I was woken up early today by the taichi music downstairs, and once bombarded by my thoughts I couldn't get back to sleep anymore. So here I am, waiting for time to pass whilst having my morning cuppa coffee.

My dear banana girl, you are constantly in our thoughts even in your absence (this sounds like Paul the apostle!! Haha) i.e. you are not growing far from us. Instead wanna apologise for not being warm enough to your friends. Like I was telling Ken yesterday we the hosts should be the ones taking public transport, not the guests! I should endeavour to talk more to them, though coz they're still bit shy with us and the company's just so comfy I always just slip back to comfort zone. Heh.

And thank you babe, for penning our adventures down despite your fatigue (from playing too much... Ah hahah!) These will be precious memories down the road...

Ok I better stop languishing here and go do my devotion and get changed. Laters! (hee)

Shutchie Young One

'Arry Potter

So it was Harry Potter today. Banana in movie, growling tummy.... all these made YP think that I was funnier than the movie. Hmmm.

Hope tmr doesn't rain so we can go PLAY!

Hope I don't grow any further from you all just cos my friends are here.

I thank you all sincerely for being so accomodating. Seriously.

Goodbye weekend

18th November

Alritey, enuff of ctrl c, ctrl v for old bananasaviour blogs. The purpose of that is so that we can read back and reminisce on old times. Yep. So let me catch up on the backlog of events.

Next is the Pasta Mania and 'goodbye for the weekend' episode.

So, Shutch and myself were to pay for the air tickets at Adelphi. The company is splitting to market our products to the world - to the East and to the West. Pengy jiejie and Papa Ken to Taiwan and HK and Shutch and myself to NY. So cool hor... Haha! Somehow I wish we had gotten to know each other better before and then we could have gone on a long holiday together! Nevermind, there will be times when all 4 directorsgo for a retreat! Hee. Maybe to Perhentian for snorkelling? =)

Yep, returning from the tangent... the meeting was rather impromptu. Cos I figured that we wouldn't see each other over the weekend cos I was going to Phuket with my friends and shutch was going to Johor for a church retreat. So i thought mebbe we could meet for lunch before mah. So although Pengy had GESL in the afternoon, she still came to meet us for lunch. Ken popped up from somewhere too! Hahah! Oops. Anyway, we went to pay for the tickets at Adelphi (opposite Funan) first. I've never been inside before. Quite ulu-ated... selling high-end speakers and stuff.... Hmm, we went up the escalator looking for the tour agency. We spotted the agency's board before we spotted the shop. Then as we walked towards it, we realised that it was rather dark inside and for a moment, our hearts stopped. (Oh no! You mean the tour agency is really phony and THAT dodgy and we had been had?!! Cos you must understand that this agency was recommended by Wesley to Shutch! Hahaha!) Anyway, we spotted a shop at the corner... in operation! And we both burst out laughing! Hahahah! But it's still strange cos the agency is Indian-based... with Indian gods in it and stuff. Hmmm... strange. And quite unprofessional one... either pay cash or transfer money into their account... no NETS one! Aiyoh!

Anyway, Ken chose pasta from the "anything" answer. Heh. So Pasta Mania it was, at Funan. We waited for Pengy there. Pasta tehre so-so only lah... cun wait to eat my Italian pasta!! Haha! And poor Pengy din eat the bacon cos it was too salty? Heh. And during lunch, I tried to dissuade her from going to SPCA for GESL! hahaha! So eville! Oh well, Ken drove all of us to SPCA anyway, and left Pengy there. Then we sent Shutch to Kranji MRT where she would take the bus to Johor. And I believe they laughed at her pink Tigger handphone pouch which Pengy bought her! Hee. (I think people might laugh at her PINK winter jacket too! Haha! No lah... you look really good in it! Hee) And then we went to pick Pengy up again... she had done nothing there lah... so dumbo leh GESL... Haha! But I like this impromptu-ness... it only happens when we like each other enuff. Then it was my turn for the airport. Thank you Papa Ken!! Yep... just 1 of the many times going to the airport in a matter of a few days. Sigh... it's not cheap somemore! Why do we have to fly at night and/or early in the morning?!! Taxi fares can KILL leh!

Yep, and that started the weekend.

I went snorkelling at Phi Phi island. It was really fun to see all the fishes so near you... and if you dun move, they dun suspect that you are a foreign being... or mebbe fishies are just curious. They come banging into your snorkelling mask... but they bit me too lah. Haha! Really cool when they throw bread down near you... then all the fishies come up to you! hee. but not when they threw a piece of bread and it landed in the woman's swimsuit! Hahaha! Imagine her screaming and whacking the water (and fishies)! Hahahhaa! I had a good show... *eville*

Yep so here are some photos....

No seafood! That was the only problem. Heh. And I wish I had asked you all what you all wanted, earlier. So yeah, now I only have dead corals. Haha! And letters. Sorry I only wrote letters to the girls lah... Hahha! But it doesn't mean that I dun miss you as well.... Cos all the time when I was there, especially the snorkelling part and the food part, I wished we were all there on holiday too!

Something geographical...

Wave coming in thru the notch. Island from the airplane

Rocks at beach

We should really plan for a weekend getaway...
