Retro day out
There are actually lots of play sessions which I wish I had blogged about, but since this is a backdated entry... I shall just start from the Kent Ridge/Sembawang play session on 13th Nov. It had a cool theme. "Retro"!
First we headed to Kent Ridge Park. Beside Reflections on Bukit Chandu. Wow, it was like walking into another world sia! All the fir trees... so Christmasy!
This is the mini canopy walk. Nothing compared to the real one at MacRitchie... though I haven't been there either! Hee.
This photo turned out really nice. Just like how I imagined. =) Thanks to Ken(dra)'s tripod!
Ohoh... we each had an individual shot at the tree. Here it is...
Oh and 2 of us who had never seen a water cooler before! Hahaha!
And here, there are benches for ppl to come pat-tuoing. You can even see Pulau Semakau! Heh. So lomantic! Pretty flowers too! Which I am fascinated with but the rest look at them with disinterest. Hmmm. Anyway, we had enuff of the Christmas feel.... so off to our next destination!
"Where to?" "ANYTHING!" I think if we set up a subsidiary company, it might be called "Anything Co. Pte Ltd"
Next stop. Sembawang Park. We tailed a jia4 zhua2 (eat snake) policecar the other dayand ended up at this Bottle Tree place, where Ken mentioned that it would be a good pat0tuo place cos you could just admire the sea from your car. Like some drive-in movie of the sort. We took a walk through the park and wow, it was like in India... or some part of London with a huge Indian population. It was quite cool to see them all play cricket and stuff. Too bad we din have our frisbee then... I would have liked to run about on the green green grass of Sembawang! So as we walked... we entered a time zone. Back to the 1980s Singapore.... it was amazin... the people, their dressing, their pots and pans, their food... all belonged to the
'80s! They had rainbow popsicles! Which can only be found in mama-stores now! I think to go there and fit in, we need to wear the wet market kind of flip flops! And orbiang colours! Haha! Ken came up with the theory that Sembawang needs to stay this way to bluff Malaysia that we are not developing fast, in order not to stress them. Haha!

Retro hor? But I think it's really fun that we can go to such places and just enjoy the company of each other. I always wanted to do stuff like these... but never did find such a special group of friends to go play with. *grin*
And then on the way to dinner... doesn't it just resemble a road trip? So cool hor?
At ECP... where we pigged out... on satay, rojak, chicken wings (yummy!!) And we had retro music there too! Like "Jimmy please say you'll wait for me... I'll grow up some day you'll see!" Hahaha! Then we hung out at the beach at nite. Just like the other day when we hung out at Changi Beach where we saw the shooting star!! And admire the planes flying in. Just that this time round we did silly things with the camera. Hahah!
I love my company. I really really do. I thank God for them. Truly.
