Sentosa... sun, sand... FUN!
K so after that long post about retro stuff, let's go on to more modern stuff. SENTOSA!!
We had a hard time deciding when we wanted to go to Sentosa! Either Pengy had GESL or Shutch had to go bukit timah... but in the end, we came to the consensus and set it for the day and time when Shutch could make it. How accomodating we are!! Heh. Another strength of our company... =)
So I met Pengy to book the half-company tour to the East (Taiwan and HK) at Chinatown Point. What an ulu place!! Haha! ANd Pengy said she used to hang out there during her Secondary school days! Anyway, I lent $900 to pay for the tour cos in order to curb her spending, she put a limit of $1000 withdrawal per day. So smart... (NOT sarcastic!) yep, and then there came the issue with Ken and Citibank and POSB. Haii.... how does Citibank survive sia?? Anyway, I FINALLY received the money from the Citibank transfer. They deduct the monies in a flash but crawl to transfer the monies to you! Haii...
Oh, and we met this tourist from NZ who was shopping in Chinatown Point. For clothes! Haha! We told her she was in the wrong place. And pointed her the directions and stuff... and she went, "Is it safe?" Wow. At that point of time, it occurred to me that we've been taking the safety in Singapore really for granted... that it came as such a shock to me that people would even consider if our Chinatown was safe! Yeah, but I knew where she was coming from... with overseas Chinatowns being the heart of criminal activities and secret societies and stuff. Heh. Should point her to Yang Tze hor? If only she was like Shutch.... =)
Hahaha! Just a little update, in order to experience the geography of fear, Papa Ken took Shutch and myself to Yang Tze building... full of porn movies sia! We just entered the building and there was this whole row of old men sitting on the side of the escalator watching this video on tv. Whoa... it freaked Shutch out cos i think she's too chio liao lah... can make the dirty old men suffer from nose bleed! Heh. Go there must bring ear muffs to protect ear lobes from dirty old men! (cf: Settlers' Taboo) *Grin* Yep, and then in relation to the movies, Ken said the more flesh the better... heck the title or storyline of the film. And they just point to the movies pasted on the booth. EW. But the worse thing is, there was this church there! In the theatre! Free Com church! My oh my... in Shutch's words... "Watch liao go repent, then go back watch somemore." Wah (B)iang! Anyway, the church is warped in its teaching... about accomodating a variety of sexualities... Hmm. Needs more critical thinking to determine the purpose and truth to that!
K enuff of "going off the tangent"... back to Sentosa.
We met for lunch at Harbour Front. No more Giordano. There goes my maroon blouse. Doesn't pay to wait. Heh. Teaches us to grab the opportunity and not procastinate! This one Papa Ken always teach, but we (me at least!) just cun follow! Hee.
I like the fact that we care so much for each other that we are so willing to compromise... even the small act of waiting for each other. Close-knitted liao... but becoming anti-social in some sense. Haha! Like with haitun. Very bad. But to some extent, seems like we have established the company liao leh... not like the unstable state that the company was in in the process of formation... if you know what I mean.
Anyway, here are some photos from Sentosa.
Here's the HUGE hopscotch that Pengy drew.
Incident number one. In order to do an enormous leap, Ken(dra) hopped and landed hard on his heel, and injured it. His excuse, if he were to see a doc, was - I climbed a tree to rescue a poor, scared cat, and fell, hence injuring my heel. Hahahah! All those macho ego! *Shake head*
More fun with frisbee (which papa Ken bought at 7-11 cos the competition one not up to standard. Hahaha! What a twist of facts!) and the dirty water and sand.

Alritey, enuff pictures. Think we are ratehr trigger happy leh! Heh. But I dun mind... a picture says a thousand word hor? Heh. Lucky no word limit! =) K, I'm super lame... I know... but this isn't the first time you all know me either! Heh. But pictures do capture lots of memories too... so taking pictures are worth it!
Sentosa was really fun... despite elzap's silly games! Frisbee golf to catch the frisbee with ya hands on ya lap to ultimate frisbee, etc. And his gf is PRETTY! Hee. Remember how she was posing for a photo with elzap's cool camera and we told him not to spoil the photo when he joined her for another shot? Hee. So mean. But what a sweet couple they make! She's so much more suitable for him! Heh. And she really amazed me when she came out of the toilet looking so good after a shower! And after dolling up in a ashort while, she lloked as if she had never been to Sentosa! This kinda people have no unglam moments ever?? Hahah! Oh well...
Dinner at Havelock Teochew Porridge. $10 duck drumstick! Fatty one and tasteless one somemore! Wah! Too expensive lah! Dun friend them liao! "~hng~" (Pengy, 2005) (Pengy's parents said we were all too silly to eat there! some bengs n lians smashed up the shops's tables n chairs one night because they were overcharged like us!!!) Too bad, we are future educators-to-be, we can't do that!!
Then we ended up at the hawker centre opposite Great World (where we went to Crystal Jade and CJ the wu gui met guilin gao! Hee) for dessert. We all settled for cheng ting. It isn't the best lah... I succumbed to peer pressure... hahaa! I wouldn't fancy cheng ting cos at home eat till sian liao. But oh well.... =)
Tired liao... shall write about the next outing soon. I am having a hard time catching up sia!! HELP! "Laters" (Shutch, 2005)
